My name is Nishtah (pronounced with a short “I” sound, like fish).
I’m a young gal in her 20s who is pursuing a career as a journalist and graphic designer. Currently I am going to college and paying for it through multiple jobs (consulting positions).
I am also currently in charge of marketing and social media at Emerald Design and Publishing Company.
My mother’s indian and my father’s white, hence the name and vaguely ethnic looks. My name, as you can see above, means loyalty and devotion in hindi.
Art and current events are the main two things that I am currently passionate about.
When I was 17 years old I was diagnosed with ADHD and I continue to learn from it everyday. I am super open about it and all for ending the negative stigma surrounding mental health.
from September 2017 to March 2018, I used this blog to document my experience on the Global Gap Year with Thinking Beyond Borders where I was in Guatemala, Thailand, Cambodia, Ghana, and Morocco. However, I now use it as medium to publish some of my writing and help improve my journalistic skills, as well as publish my artistic creations. Follow me on my journey as I grow and learn from my experiences.
